One of the most buzzed about weeks in New York City has once again arrived, New York Fashion Week. The lineup of fashion shows all around the city has grown and so has the ‘see now, buy now’ business model for many designers. It seems the goal is to target consumers in a big way! More American fashion brands are choosing to present their current collections to the public and giving them the option to buy it instantly, instead of six months ahead. Although not everyone has adopted this way of presenting their NYFW collections. Europe is still also opting to present their collections the classic way. On another note, we hope to see more growing numbers in the model diversity portion. Last season saw an increase but we definitely will keep an eye on what that inclusion represents.

For now, we move on and take a closer look at some of the most noteworthy collections seen this week so far. For the complete schedule (and still some TBA shows) of shows, you can visit NYMag.com. If you want to talk all things runway, collections, the good, bad and oh hell to the no, then make sure to follow and check out the One Style at a Time accounts on Instagram, Facebook Page and Twitter for all the #NYFW updates. Without further adieu, we give you some of our favorite shows beginning with Tom Ford who in a season that is meant to present spring/summer 2017, decided to present his current fall/winter 2016 collection and we loved it.
