Another day, another Vogue cover, this time with ‘it’ model Gigi Hadid closing out the year as the cover girl for Vogue Japan’s December 2016 issue. The looks were retro with a perfect cat-eye eyeliner that could give Adele a run for her money. The bouffant is reminiscent of the hay days of french beauty Brigitte Bardot. A beautiful editorial most of which was done in black and white and with Gigi wearing lots of lace. It felt romantic and edgy and most of all timeless. The shoot was shot by Luigi and lango. The photos are seductive and sexy but with an elegant vibe. Gigi has definitely had a huge year with Vogue and many other magazines she’s covered including not one, but two Vogue Paris covers. When sharing her Vogue Japan shoot on Instagram she mentioned this was one of her favorites. Well, it definitely stands as one of our personal favorites too. It goes to show that September issues don’t necessarily produce the best, creative photographic stories. How do you like this photo spread?
